My First Blog Post

If you're reading this, welcome to my blog! As the title says this is my very first blog post and I feel like I'm venturing into unknown territory. I have been a photographer for many years and graduated from college with a BA in Commercial Art and a passion for photography, but my love for capturing things with my camera started way before that. My father gave me my very first camera at the age of 6 and that is when my love for this art of expression was born.

My passion for travel, nature and photography has pushed me into the blogging world (with a very big nudge from my friends) so here I am!

My biggest incentive has been my need to share with others what I have learned from my travels and to allow my readers to see the beauty of our wonderful world through my eyes (or lens)!. I love to research new places, find hidden gems and make the most of a trip so I hope to share what I learn along the way and offer tips and advice.

I am self confessed 'Maldives addict' and love exploring the different atolls. Recurrent trips to the Maldives and a love for the sea finally pushed me into trying diving. I got my Padi Open Water Dive license in 2014 and a year and a half later both my Nitrox and Adventure diver licenses. (Look under the dive section of my website for tips on where to dive as well as photos and videos I've captured during my various dive trips.)

I have recently ventured into the world of droning and I absolutely love it. The photo opportunities with droning are endless and am very excited to explore it more and share footage and images with you.
